DIMORESTUDIO

Following a first collaboration with Chapo Créations in 2024, Yves Salomon Éditions is renewing the adventure with pieces designed with Dimorestudio; new creations freely echoing the work of Carlo Bugatti. It is a story of encounters, of shared passions. A year ago, Yves Salomon and Tamara Taichman, both design enthusiasts and collectors, met Britt Moran and Emiliano Salci, founders of Dimorestudio. They immediately connected, shared affinities, and the desire to develop a common project. Sharing a common interest in Carlo Bugatti's sculptural furniture, unique pieces combining cabinetmaking and parchment, they came up with the idea of creating contemporary designs freely dialoguing with the Italian master's stylistic vocabulary.

The experiments with contrasting materials, characteristic of the maestro, greatly interested Yves Salomon Éditions and Dimorestudio. Their collaboration resulted in proposals that combine metal and leather – leather, shearling, and recycled fur. Following an ornamental aesthetic dear to Carlo Bugatti, Dimorestudio designed mink trimmings suspensions. Intarsia, a craft technique where pieces of fur of different natures and contrasting colors are assembled to form decorative patterns, is given pride of place. A kind of wood marquetry, but in lamb, mink, and alpaca.
